Day 74 - Fury and time to stop looking at the puppies

I thought I would wax for a moment about how this all has affected Fury. When she came home from Wisconsin, she grunted a lot and really didn't want to play at all. She was sort of acting "old" before that, too, but Yishai and I were worried that she'd no longer be fun after whatever caused her to be that way. Au contraire. Now that Fury is back to her prime shape again, she is oodles of fun, and I haven't seen her this social or engaged with people and dogs in a long time. She will play all day long with her puppies and Rex and even the dogs at the dog park again. She used to be kind of standoffish after too many dogs started fights with her that she lost, and then she got actively defensive. It's good to have her back. She's hoppy and funny and just nice to be around again. Welcome back, old Fury. I am sure having young puppies around that she doesn't mind (since they are hers) helps a lot.

The puppies have also started entering the gangly phase. They say that at 8 weeks, that's the snapshot of what you'll have as an adult, which is why I evaluated them. I also made it a point to go over their bites, etc at that age and found them all to be good. Well, I was looking at Rippa's profile a couple days ago and sure enough, she's currently overshot. Now, my first thought was, "Oh, that figures! The one we're for sure keeping!" (I am kind of half counting on keeping Moto at this point) but then I had to remind myself that I have to stop watching the puppies right now. He jaw will catch up. In fact, I think I have a memory of that happening with Fury. Aww, the awkward puppy phases. Fury was SO ugly, I wasn't sure I should keep her. Puppy buyers, beware:

AHHHHHH!!!

But for now, they are adorable. It's funny watching their ears change. This morning both Emma and Moto have perfect little button ears again. ::shrug::

He's some photos I took from last night after they quit being so obnoxious and playful.

Here's Rippa's weird little mouth trick, like Yishai is a lion. You open your mouth and she'll stuff her whole snout in there.

DOG HATS!!

Even Fury gets in on that action.

My boyfriend, and the litter-dad, enjoys both eating and wearing the puppies (and my dog). Discuss.
